It still resides in my little junk area behind the barn. Once a year a friend of mine will come pick up all the steel and other goodies (he recycles stuff) but didn't want the TV - said he can't bring them to the junk yard. There is no where to get rid of it. I guess I will have to smash it up with the loader and put parts and pieces in garbage bags and put out for garbage collection.

Coaltrain,

I just remembered something.

One year I was doing crafts shows, there was a woman in a booth across from me that was selling "computer jewelry". Basically she took her computer apart and recycled the parts into jewelry.

She had a huge crowd around her booth for the two days we were out there.

Maybe you could use your TV parts....

Today was the big day; the new 31" TV arrived early this morning ahead of schedule...hubby just took it out of the box with the stand.

Hour later, still trying to screw the stand to the TV; two of four screws are "sort of" in; the other two, no way will tighten.

I had him move the "sort of screws" to the area of the "absolutely not" holes for the other two screws; they "sort of" work. So the holes are too big/misaligned (my opinion).

Had to call Amazon (the seller this time) and got someone with a thick accent that wasn't getting it until I said over the phone, "We can't watch the TV". So now we're on hold...hopefully for them to send four new screws.

Delivery was quick, but... Oh, well.
