Default Howdy from TN

I moved onto 3 acres of rural TN bottomland with a strong spring and a 40 year old double-wide just over a year ago. I have fixed up the place to be liveable, replaced half the flooring that had rotted out, run out the snakes, mice, and other critters that had moved in, and got it sealed against the weather.
Had a Spring garden that was demolished by a ground hog, who is no longer with us, and got bit on my arm by a copperhead while clearing brush in May, which besides the unusually wet weather put a slowdown on my summer garden.
Working on my Autumn garden right now, with acorn and spaghetti squash, collards, cabbage, brussel sprouts, spinach, turnips, carrots, cauliflower, and more.
Built a top bar beehive from pallets and scrap to be ready to get some bees this coming spring, and am still working on the trailer bit by bit as I get the money to buy materials.
Headed out to the garden right now but wanted to say hi to everybody and I'm looking forward to sharing my experience and learning from everyone here.

Welcome aboard.
I am glad we don't have copperheads around here.
We do have rattle snakes but they don't seem to live around me.

Welcome, longrifle. You have been busy, busy, busy. We have copperheads in FL too and in fact there was a story in the local paper last week about a young mother being bitten in her yard. Lawn was freshly mowed, too. Good luck with your Fall garden.

longrifle welcome aboard. I am glad you are okay after the copperhead bite. You can keep the snakes.
