Default Preserving skins until you can flesh them

Ive received a number of sheep and cow skins from a friend who slaughtered them today. Im new to the whole process and dont have the time to flesh all of them right now. Ive salted them in the mean time.

Can you preserve skins for fleshing at a later stage?

Is this the right way to do it until I can flesh each one ?

If so, what do I do when Im ready to flesh a skin?

Ps. I need the hair on the hide

I don't do it anymore, but when we handled skins, we usually froze them (or left them to freeze in a shed outside) if we didn't have time to flesh them. Salting should work as well, but it might make it harder to get the flesh off later...I just don't know. We used to flesh them, then salt them until we had time to tan them if we couldn't freeze the skins. What are you going to use the hides for?
