Default American Milking Devon...Perfect Homestead Cow?

We just picked up a few new animals for the homestead, and we've got pretty high hopes. Here's a quick video I shot this morning:
We're thinking these guys (American Milking Devon)might just be the perfect homestead cattle breed!
Does anyone have any experience with the Milking Devon, or any suggestions for starting a small scale milking herd? I know we've already got something going, but I'm always willing to listen to sage advice!
