Default Today's humor

The Washington Redskins finally drop offensive name!

Dan Snyder, owner of the NFL Redskins, has announced that the team is dropping "Washington" from the team name, and it will henceforth be simply known as "The Redskins."

It was reported that he finds the word 'Washington' imparts a negative image of poor leadership, mismanagement, corruption, cheating, lying, and graft, and is not a fitting role-model for the young fans of football.

George would be amazed and filled with disgust at what the capitol of this nation, which bears his name, has came to represent.

"Drop Washington from the name"....

Have to agree with that in that there are plenty of other cities, states that would welcome a team.. Maybe they need to threaten to move.. Or better yet, actually do it..

Now, I'm the only guy around that thinks pro football is a waste of clean air.. However.. What I see is this..

In this area if the MN Vikings threatens to move, it seems the state is more than willing to throw there wallet to them... At least it seems the Packers are a free standing, self supporting business..

My 2 cents..

You are not the only guy.
I think all pro sports are a huge waste of time.
Even college sports are nothing but a money making machine for the schools.

Make that 3.
Can't stand pro sports, have no use for college sports, I do go to high school games to support the kids, but that's for them.
I'd rather be out doing SOMETHING!

Default my one vice

I do watch the NFL, and that's the one thing where I will waste some time.

When the cable company tries to sell me a cable package. I tell them, "the only thing I watch is the Vikings loose, and the Olympics". They usually hang up then.

I also watch the NFL playoffs.

That little box, sure can waste a LOT of time though.

Hee Haw is in reruns on RFD TV on Sunday evenings!

Still good if somewhat corny
