Default ultrasonic rodent control

Just curious--has anyone had any experience with these gadgets??

http://www.hammacher.com/Product/Def...query=NF-84293

wondering if they even do a half-ast job, and what effect they might have on pet dogs and cats.

TIA--JVC

I see this when you first posted it.. Was interested, but waiting for some input as I have no experience or knowledge about this..

Actually... I have at times made parts for propane cannons used to try to keep geese out of sunflower and other small grain crop fields.. Only works for a short time.. Then it is a waste of propane..

So... Having done some Google search for reviews and other info today.. I got to say the likely hood of this working well is not good..

Others may have different experience, but all I can say is good luck and please post any results you have on this..

Good luck..

Have yet to pull the trigger on this, and have also been doing some internet research and talking to some people around here. Apparently they work pretty well in open areas like a garage or barn, but don't do so well in the house since the soundwaves don't seem to penetrate walls etc. I'm considering trying one in the crawl space under the house--couple of folks have said that works for them--although one also said he throws a box of mothballs under the house once a year also.

Didn't have a rodent problem at all until our good "hunter" cat disappeared one night. Suspect the coyotes made a meal of her.

I have read about them and everything I have read says that they do not work. None of them ever work.

Consumer Reports, Science magazines....
The only ones I see saying that they work are those selling them.....fwiw.
