You FALSELY assume that every drone has a camera on it.

Yet no one shoots down aircraft flying at the same height over the same property.

As I remember any aircraft has a 500' minimum over any populated area..

I can't imagine anyone bothering one at that height..
But if one is hovering over a property at tree top, or window height... I'm inclined to think that is a whole different set of circumstances..

My 2 cents..

David, the number one selling point for a drone is surveillance/observation, be it oil & gas, property, timber, crop, livestock, fence management or flood, and storm damage a camera is needed. Law enforcement & military drones all need camera's to perform their tasks. I certainly would not trust a drone to deliver anything without a camera, to find the correct address.

Now you are selling drones without a camera, and my drones all have a camera. Who do you think will sell the greater number of drones?

Irrelevant. I have my own camera. People can choose what camera to use. Many will pick the better camera for their use regardless of what the drone seller has.

Not everyone is spying on you........

You totally evaded the question.

I never mentioned spying, unless you are trying to imply military and law enforcement usage is spying. If that is the case and they are looking for you, you have got much larger problems than picking the better camera.

Thanks for your update on the actual case, Terri.

It's great to know right still prevails, at least some of the time.

I think I would enjoy finding the person flying it. That way I could knock the SOB out and let him have fun trying to find his crashed Drone when he came to. Someone that is spying on my daughter or wife will find out that a real man does not care for that crap. I would not go to jail for it either!

Discharging a firearm in city limits, not the best of ideas but in my opinion neither is the operation of a drone. Malfunction, operator error etc and it drops 100' out of the sky I can see it doing some damage. God forbid it hits some little kid riding their bike down the road. If it killed that same kid or caused him/her to ride that bike into traffic and get killed manslaughter, negligent homicide etc charges would be in order. If the guy hovering it low enough to be shot, over some teen girls sunbathing behind a privacy fence, especially if there was video on the thing, charge the drone operator just like a peeping tom. Everyone has a reasonable expectation of privacy in their home or YARD enclosed with a privacy fence.
