Default Chicken Perch - Make a simple wooden perch

Hello friends,

I built a chicken perch or chicken roost in my aviary and my hen coop.

Isn't a round perch prefered over a square one? It would imitate a round branch better than a 2x2. Seems I read something once about it being better on the chickens feet.

Round is better because when many birds bend their legs, the tendons automatically cause the toes to curl and grasp the perch.

That's how they can sleep without falling off
