Default Old but new again.

It's been about 8 years since I first joined this forum, I've tried a few times but couldn't remember my password and my contact email doesn't exist anymore. Finally sent a note to admin and here I am. I hope some of my old friends are here that knew me as CC.

For those that don't I'm a widow living in CA. with 2 wonderful children and 5 awesome grandsons.

If my old friends aren't here that's okay because I hope that I'll be making new ones.

Welcome back! It seems to me that many forums, like this one, aren't as busy as they once were. I am guessing that a lot of folks are spending more time on Facebook and the like? Too bad. I think this is still a great place, though.

I think the other thing is that since things like the Mayan prophecy is past and the bucket load of TV shows like Doomsday Preppers and the rest have had their 15 minutes in the sun; the main street America had their curiosity and interest peeked but with their 2 minute attention span they've moved on to the next fad or topic that reality TV is pushing.

And WELCOME BACK Dandelion!

HI!

Life changes.

My kids have moved out and I am pretty well handicapped, now. I prefer to pick fruit on a scooter chair, care for my garden from a light plastic stool, and I now let my hens die of old age as I no longer use for so many eggs with the kids gone. My small henhouse is just big enough for 6 birds, and if they were all young that would give us too many eggs. And I enjoy my birds!

Life on my 1 acre homestead is still sweet, handicapped or not!
