Thanks Don---I am enjoying the cooler weather---we shall see when the snow is 4--6ft deep lol.
Hope you are well.
Yes its thin around here --many of the old timers are gone.
I am adjusting---my brain is still on southern time---since it's never lived in the north.
Finding my way around ok.

So good to see you post, Annie. I'm still here in the same place in southeast Texas. Remember, I'm the one who sent you some little metal things called 'Braid Aids' years ago, for braiding rugs with. Anyway, that's me, but a different name and I can't even recall what it was back then! As the saying goes, I've slept since then.

It's great you were willed a house, but wow, it must be hard adjusting to a different climate. I hope and pray that you find it to your liking.

A basement--now that's something unheard of around here!

Take care of yourself, and know a few of us old timers are still here, even if we don't remember our old names. God bless you, sweet lady!

Good to hear from you again Txanne. That must be quite a shock to the system, moving from Texas to the Dakotas. I can only imagine!

Got my last print issue of Backwoods Home, and it brought tears to my eyes. Feels like I'm losing a family member. I'm not a Kindle person, so I'll have to wait for the yearly anthologies and catch up during the winters. I will give Self Reliance a go, looking forward to my first issue.

Wish the forum was more active, but I'm just grateful it's still active at all. Keep posting everyone!
