Default Fire and Ice Pickles

You just have to try these. Fantastic side dish or just for snacking.

Thanks for the link.

I'm just starting to get overrun with cukes and will be making pickles this week.

Will be doing natural fermentation in a food grade bucket with homegrown dill cayanne pepper and garlic

Also use the low temp pasturization (180 oF) when canning them, in above link. They come out nice and crispy and have had no problems with long term storage. My experiences with water bath canning at boiling has been good tasting but mushy pickles, maybe good for a relish.

P.S. add some grape leaves to the mix , it helps keep the pickles crisp.
