New to forum and new to homesteading

Bought property in mountains in AZ and going to work towards moving there full-time to retire...currently property has no water or power, and this forum looks like a good place to start learning about options available regarding living off the grid or partly on-grid, etc.

I'm 54 so have a few years before I can retire, but want to start building the place now so there will be time to change plans as I learn. It will be an interesting adventure if nothing else.

Welcome friend and pull up a chair and palaver for a while. Yes it is an adventure but one that you will always remember fondly. You will make some good friends here and there will be others you will scratch your head about (I may be in that last category) Most of us are somewhat conservative and we love the others as well and don't hold it against them, were all Gods children. Myself and others here have blogs that follow our path to the same great adventure your about to embark on.
