Default Hello all.

Hi everyone, I am in GA. I read the magazine as often as possible but it was the top bar hive posts here that caught my eye. I keep bees and build my own top bar hives. I have my own design of hive and my own design of top bars which makes it much easier to harvest the honey and comb. Looking forward to meeting some new people.

Thank you very much MHinFox. I hope to learn a little and possibly even help someone else learn a little about bees and top bar hives.

Hi bee man,
I'm new also & I just wanted to say that I can relate to your bee keeping.
My late grandmother kept 8 hives years ago & I watched them being robbed many times. And although I never got the chance to rob the hives (she got rid of the hives due to her age before I was really old enough to be allowed to do it) I can remember many a time around a # 3 tub cutting the honey comb out of the frames in the supers.
Of course we got to eat as much honey as we wanted.
Fond memories for sure!

Tnonk

Hi Tnonk,
Some of the best memories i have are of my grandmother and her old wood cook stove, or rather what came out of it.
