1997 F 150 Lariat
I have purchased a newer old truck. Does anyone have any personal experience with models around that age?
It has a 4.6 ltr V8 engine.
It is definately the prettyiest pick-up I have ever owned. White with a golden colored band at the bottom. Three door extended cab, long bed(I like long beds), leather seats, cruise control, power everything, towing package, reciever hitch, bedliner, nice carpet with carpet floor mats, fiber glass fender flares with running boards.
The truck was purchased new by a local furniture store for the grandfather of the group. I was told that the truck did not do much furniture delivering.
The gentleman died a few months ago and the store has decided to finally sell the truck.
121,??? miles is not bad at all for a 12 year old truck. There ia a local tire and service store that did all of the maintenance/service and I spoke with the manager there. He said that the truck had been well cares for and was in very good shape. It does have a few dings and the passanger side running board has a little damage, but all is minor.
They were asking $4200, but we made a deal at $3900. I think bluebook on it in excelent shape was $5800.
Anyone know of any problems with this model?

Dang enjoy that ride ya got a fine deal there. The key to buying a used truck is the maintenance. One owner took care of you have hit all the p,s and q,s of getting a used truck. Take as good care of it as they did and it will last ya a long time.
