Default Wild Ginger

I don't know if anyone here uses it but there's a new warning out (yahoo front page) about a possible link between regular users and some types of cancer. It was a variety of Aristolochia I am not familiar with, not A. canadensis but still I think learning about this could be important especially if, like I said, you are a regular user. Most common use I know of is dried and used as a tea. Used green it will give you severe stomach cramps and diarhea (sp), ask me how I know. Ginger was my first lesson in NOT just using wild plants without checking them out first, many years ago but I still remember it. I love the smell of it tho. When I was heavy into wildcrafting, they used to buy the roots but I don't know what they used them for.
