Default Today I bought Gas for......

4/21/13........... NW WI......... E10 $3.54-9.....

It took a while, but it finely has come down to this price..... It seemed to pop up pretty fast. Took a little while longer for road diesel and off road diesel to follow up, but they did eventually.

Road diesel etc. has also come down also, just not the same amount as E10..... So far......

And it is still snowing and cold here........... Brrrrr
Good luck

Down to $3.06 here.

Oil change did go up tho.
My guys that have been changing my oil for years--went from full service oil change for $31.00 Is now $35.00.
They check all fuel levels--
I use Penn. 5/30 every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.

They do such a good job of checking everything I have to stay with them.
Small price to pay for excellent service----my dollars at work.

DD said she paid $3.14 at Sam's in Houston last week when they were down there. I didn't pay any attention to what she paid yesterday when she bought it but I did notice that it was $3.24 at the Walmart I shop at when I went there today. I understand HEB is giving a discount if you get a gift card and use that money to pay for it. Walmart may also be doing the same thing, I don't know.

5/15/13...... NW WI....... E10 $3.89-9.......

(insert double cry baby smilie here)

I had to go to town and while there had to fill up....

Now tonight on the news they are saying in MN it is $4.25-9

The cause is said to be two refineries near Chicago that are doing yearly maintaince while they are doing there "change over" from winter to summer gas.......

Now this is the first time I've ever heard of summer or winter gas......
My BS meter is going off real bad, until I get some more details about that....

I can understand that bulk supply terminals would put different addatives in gas for different seasons...... But the actual refining process.....

What refineries I've been in make me wonder........

Anyone with detailed info ????

5/17/13...... NW WI....... E10 = $4.04-9.......

I suppose just in time for Memorial Day and the start of vacation season....

Actually...... The second season of this area has kicked in already...

That being a combo of road construction and tourists...... It is bad enough that any kind of lane change due to construction makes the tourists come to a complete stop and go into a coma as they figure out how to get through the change........

Problem is the locals stop and go into the same kind of coma each time they have to negotiate the same obsticle. No matter how many times they have to deal with it.........

As much as I complained about it...... I think winter was the lesser of the evils even this early in the season..... (rant over)

Keep safe.....

Midwest had a price hike of $.20+ per gallon due to a refinery being shutdown for "maintenance". When I filled up Friday, station A was $3.99 (for a long time the *only* gas station in town) and station B (less than 1 mile down the road) was $3.69.

Gas had gotten down to $3.14 but has creeped back up----now up to $3.47/9.
Something about plant shut-downs.
Summer fuels take a different process.

But its summer/spring vacation time----but are they kidding?

Only could fill the tank half full, fifty some bucks. $4.05 a gal. here 'in SD. Soon won't even be able to mow the lawn. What to heck are they blaming the price increase on now? May the Lord help us poor folks. We soon will have to quit living because we can't afford anything anymore.

6/1/13........ NW WI....... E10=$3.99-9........

I'm surprised...... Surprised it dropped this much this fast..... Although this area does seem to be somewhat behind other surrounding areas to make changes to lower prices....

Have to say, I'm pleased, but suspicious also.... When will the next big bump come.....

Anyway this happened in time that I filled all my gas cans for mower, boat motor, and etc.....

Good luck.....

That is higher than we saw in CA - they hike the prices up until people quit buying so much. It stabilizes at a lower cost then jumps again. A new "floor" is set. Consumer spending is our greatest "weapon" - if only we'd get a larger group saying enough is enough.
