Default A new guy from Alberta

Hi all,

I just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi!

I have a small place, about forty acres in the foothills of the Rockies. I run a few horses, and have had most types of critters over the years. I like to hunt and do all my own repairs on older farm equipment, etc.

I am a believer in a simple lifestyle, and like to be as self sufficient as I can be. But yes, I do still have a career in aviation.

I look forward to reading about your adventures, and becoming a regular contributor.

Puma

Hi Puma, glad to have you on board. Do you know a place in Alberta called Dapp? Looking forwrd to hear about your 'adventures'. I never met an aviator from the Rocky Mountains before. Our challenges are like, we borrowed a young ram and hope he will breed our ewes. Our big ole ram just shot blanks, now we have to figure out what to do with him. Who would want to buy him, and who would want to eat him. Not me.

Waving hallo to Puma from the other side of the Rockies! Glad to see you in the Backwoodshome world - it's a great place.

hey bookworm - if Puma doesn't know Dapp - I do! I spent my teen years in Jarvie - the next little spot on the map up from Dapp What's your connection to it?

Thanks everyone ! That's a great welcome.
Dapp Ab is a really small place quite a ways north of here. Don't think I have been there.

I'm in ontario as well,

Welcome.

I remember driving from Banff all the way into Calgary, then south to Lethbridge, (passed through a town called "head-smashed-in-buffalo-jump") and south into Montana. It was a road trip that began in Vancouver and ended 11 days later in Boston.

I've seen your countryside and I'd do just about anything to get back for another trip.
