I saw that device in Lee valley ,catalog . They called it a " softwood kindling splitter". A bit cheaper.

I live in oak -hickory land. And camp axe and/ Hatchey works fine since I only have to light the fire in Water stove 3 times a season ( once at start and twice after cleaning ashes out.
