Default Join date change

Thought I'd ask the admin why my join date changed. Not that it makes much difference, and it may have been that way a while and I haven't noticed. But I thought it odd I lost 3 or 4 years of time on the forum.

I checked my offline list of member registrations and found yours was accepted on Jan 21, 2012, which makes sense if you first submitted a member request on the 19th and clicked on the link in the verification email that day or the next.

Could you be confusing join dates here and with another Forum?

Is join date reset with each new iteration of the Yabb forum software?

I don't actually think anyone cares that I joined in 1998. It is a curiosity on it's own though. Who was active pre-Y2k, and still active today?

No I've been here for at least 5 or 6 years. Thinking about it, I do believe I was here before the 08 election.

If I recall correctly (always a chancy proposition), 2001 was about the time we moved to the old YaBB software. I only find one member with a join date before July, 2001 and s/he may have requested the date be changed at the time.

YaBB did not change user info with updates, so my guess is that yours was reset during the original transition. No user info was changed when we moved to the current software.

We have 51 members who go back to 2001 and 15 are still posting.
