It has been several months since I have been able to get back here. Don't get to get much internet time. Anyhow, the garden is turning out well for the most part. Harvested the last of the cucumbers last week, we won't be buying pickles at the store ever again. I've already harvested the first batch of green beans and got them canned, another batch planned for tomorrow. Unfortunately my beans have been invested with Mexican bean beetle, but I am hoping I can save them. Something keeps eating my potato plants but they are still growing and my carrots got blight, wow that does sound like a lot of problems but I'm not discouraged just some things to overcome. Everything else is doing good so far though. It is really nice to go out to the garden and pick a veggie or some herbs to use for dinner and it taste sooo good!
So we have had our two chickens (Tom and Rosanne) for a while now and they are something else. when I go outside they come to great me, of course they think I have a treat for them. Yesterday the did the funniest thing, DH and I were starting to go for a walk and they started following us, It was kinda cute. I read that they are social animals, but I guess I really either didn't believe it or that it was over exaggerated. They follow me around like my dogs do.
Well our bunnies have increased in numbers. We got a litter of five kits 3 weeks ago. They are so cute. They has a little bit of a rough start in life but you won't know it. We breed our rex, Daisy to one of our Nz, Duke and didn't think it took, but one morning I go out to feed and I find five little pink things on the ground, they had all fallen out of the doe's cage. By some miracle they all made it and are already eating and drinking on their own.
I will post pics soon
