Default Hello all

My name is Mike and I found this forum via Txanne's book which I couldn't put down. I live in central IL w/wife. We are both now retired and just starting to really enjoy life. Youth is definitely wasted on the young.
Looking forward to learning a lot and hopefully I have something to contribute. I am into self-reliance and prepping, if not for doomsday at least for life's surprises.

Sounds like a good way to approach things. Surprises might be a pain, but they sure make life more interesting!

I'm new here too, but welcome!
