Default Thank you for your prayers

I just want to thank you folks for praying for my daughter and family during this troubling family.

Psalm-Angel Guadalupe Onstott came into the world yesterday at 6:10pm, weighing a little over four pounds and with a full head of dark hair. She was so precious and we had her for just under an hour before she went into the hands of Jesus. She is much loved by everyone who met her, her four sisters and her brother, her maternal grandmother- me, her paternal grandmother-Peggy, and her paternal aunt Ashley, and her mother's best friend since third grade, Mark.

We got a last chance to say goodbye at the funeral home today. They had her wrapped in a colorful fleece blanket and lying on what looked like a twin bed. I'm so glad we got this time with her, now all we have left to get through is the memorial service on the 21st, her original due date.

I am so very sorry that the beautiful baby couldn't live on earth with you. You will hold her again in your arms, dance with her, and rejoice with her for eternity. May God heal your heart tenderly and quickly. I'm sorry.

One more thing to get through before this is pretty much over. Tomorrow we pick up Psalm-Angel's ashes from the funeral home then go to church for her memorial service. DD is ordering an urn online because there was no way they could afford one from the funeral home.

Before my MIL passed away she told all her kids she wanted her ashes put into her favorite cookie jar. So that's what they did and it didn't cost anything.
Funeral homes are way over priced and people feel guilty if they don't buy what's offered.
Again my condolences to you and your family.

I'm home and the service wasn't as bad as I feared it would be, only the eight year old came unglued, the other older girls were upset but not so much as Esther. DD, SIL, and DD's MIL also broke down and I sniffled. They are home, with her ashes and each other, if they need me I'm only a phone call or short walk away but I think they need their privacy right now. There were about 8 or 10 people besides the 10 family members present including three of the midwives from the office where she went for her OB appointments.

Responded to the earlier post for prayer & had asked about the outcome. Now I see this update.

I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like the sweet angel baby was loved before she was born, after she was born, and was loved right into heaven. Bless her sweet heart.

You will all be united again one day. What a joyous reunion that will be too.

My sincere condolences!

DD took a family picture of all of her kids, the oldest holding a picture of Psalm-Angel, on Friday after the oldest three opened their presents after returning from a week at their father's. Esther came unglued again, I should have realized what was wrong by the way she was crying as it's the only time she has cried like this. Otherwise life goes on pretty much as always, at least on the outside though I do wonder about on the inside, all I can do is be there for them when needed.

Yes, life surely does go on, doesn't it MYellowRose. That's what my daddy always used to say: "You can't stop the hands of time, honey. Time waits for no man."

Time will soothe the hearts so affected. The wound of losing a child never truly heals, I don't believe, but it does scab over. That's where time works its magic.... with the scabbing.

I will continue to pray for all of you. Such a heavy cross to bear!
