Default Hi from North Central Illinois, for now.

Hi all, new to the forum. Currently I live in North Central Illinois, but eventually will be moving to our hide-a-way property in Tennessee as we, the wife and I prepare for retirement. The short story, I'm a rented cop, went into full time ministry but will be retiring again. Well maybe, I'm sure I will get bored so I'll most likely work part-time.

Anyway, the reason I joined is I've been reading much about living off the grid, taking a care of yourself when the brown stuff hits the blades of the rotating fan. Or as my dad used to say, "When the deification hits the Mix Master.' Anyway, much to read and much to learn.

Welcome from northeast Washington. You may find that when you retire again that you will have so many worthwhile things to do on the homestead that you won't miss working at all. I know that I'm busy, happy, and don't miss working at a paid job at all.

Haha, I just reread my post and it shows, "I'm a rented cop" ROFL, gotta love spell checkers. It should be "retired" cop.
