Default Hate when this happens

Mid November I made a batch of buttermilk honey-vanilla-almond soap. Gave bars of it as gifts to sisters and friends. Now I am getting requests for more. I had to fess up. When adding the honey, it overflowed the measuring cup and globbed into the mix. No idea how much was used. Or whether I can recreate it.

Try to recreate the mis-measure over a measuring cup.... If it comes out OK there is your new standard... Otherwise just try again from the known amount of the first measure....

It may take a couple tries to get it the way it was... And no one else needs to know about the initial oops.....

Good luck...

Default And the bee man just paid up!

Came home one day recently to find two boxes on the doorstep. Each box held four half gallons of honey! Traded half off, now I can experiment to my hearts content!

I guess you could take honey and milk bath.

Default Pasteurize?

No, up to my neck will do!
Sorry, I am something of a word geek.
The way we are all hacking and coughing, and using honey as a remedy, there may not be any left for anything else. Of course, I could rub a little behind my ear and have DH smooch it off... romance and wellness all at once!

Crackergirl,

What is a "word geek"??

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/pasteurize

You know what helps me with a bad cough (and I get those with almost every cold at the end) - Chloroseptic sore throat spray (at any drug store). Numbs it up a little to give you a break (I would use sparingly).
