Default Frugal Tips

Here's some frugal tips:

- put a dryer sheet into your toilet paper roll for a nice scent

- turn spaghetti and catsup bottles upside down to help prevent mold

- use a paper napkin to help hold blocks of cheese when cutting (keep from hands touching to prevent spoilage)

- dry your razor after each use; keep sharp by rubbing on old piece of denim

- put a paper towel in with a bag of lettuce to keep lettuce from spoiling

- cut tubes of toothpaste to get all toothpaste out

Get on your local police stations friend list and be updated on fresh car deer accidents. Here in Michigan a lot of good eatin goes to waste on the side Of the road. I could buy all my meals but I find eating venison stew, shredded barbecue and jerky for weeks to be worth it when the opportunity presents itself. Free food.

Secondly I find using forums and videos online can save tons of money on repairs of any kind! It's amazing what you're capable of when equipped with the correct information!

Learn to garden and can and preserve your food. If you don't have the space to garden or, like me, you are not sure you can physically do it (this is my first year of maybe not being able to) then buy from Farmer's Markets and put the food up.
Learn to bake your breads from scratch. I have learned that most of the things I buy are actually easier to make and don't take that much time. Tortillas & English muffins are 2 that are super easy.
To save on gas, hypermile.
