Funny thing, I have a salt lick by my stand, and have a pic with a doe and three fawns. Have a pic with one of the fawns (spots still) mounting the doe. Strange. Might just have to shoot that spike in the fall, to make sure the genetics aren't all effed up.

Might be the only time I shoot a 1 YO spiker.

Wasn't in my backyard, but saw this guy at the lake last week while fishing.

In my chair this morning waiting for my legs to cooperate reading my book when I glanced up and spotted this guy down at the creek.

I've never been able get a decent shot since they are so skittish - usually when I just walk down my deck steps they see me and are gone. So I snuck out the front door and kept some trees between him and me as I worked my way down to the bank. Stood behind the closest tree and stuck my camera around the side also using that for stabilization.

It's a Pentax DSLR with professional grade lens.

Couple quick shots out back this morning - beautiful crisp fall air. Colors not quite at peak yet.

The photo doesn't capture how beautiful seeing this huge moon rise over the pines and river was - but .. Belated Merry Christmas from N. MN!
