Default Hello

Howdy,

This is my intro post. I'm from Northern California, up in the foot hills of the Sierra mountains. My wife and I are fairly new to the homesteading thing, though I have had a couple of gardens in the past. I've been a subscriber of BHM for a while now, and this forum looks like it will be equally as helpful as the magazine for continuing our lessons on homesteading.

Thanks for letting me play.

Well, my crawling toy is actually a 1990 4runner that I'm building up into a rock crawler. I have built up several Toyota ' over the years, this one is just about to get axle swaps.

My Lister clone is a Power Solutions 6/1 that I bought off George from Utterpower.com back in 04, it's powering an ST5 head and is just about to be reconfigured for a new house I'm moving into. I'm thinking about doing some type of thermostat and heat exchanger for a water heater for the shop, and I may also start working towards swapping a turbo on, especially if the old girl needs a rebuild. It still runs pretty good though, so that be a ways off.

Thanks for the welcome.

Hello and welcome to the BWH Forum.

I'm keeping my 91 Toyota as long as I can. They are not making any good replacements for my tiny truck.

Oh yeah, I love the 22re. It's an awesome little motor. Underpowered, but very reliable and easy to work on.
