Default Howdy from Texas

My wife and I live in a conventional 2000 SF house south of San Antonio Texas. We have 6 acres where we raise rabbits for meat and pelts. We have goats that my wife milks and makes cheese, we also have an aquaponics system because it does not rain where we live. I have a blacksmith forge and like to bang on hot metal.

We are looking to move to Tennessee and buy 25 or more acres to set up our homestead with a much smaller (tiny) house and grow crops we can plant in the ground. Trying to find an IT job there to make it all possible and anxious to get started

Welcome to the forum. I can't give much advice on living in Tennessee other than to stay away from Shelby County (Memphis). You can work in Memphis but I don't think you would care for living there.

I am a Texan that moved to Memphis and then got down to Mississippi. Like it much better.
