Default Ray Valley Farms - Cordwood Home

I am in the process of building my families homestead. After years of reading and researching we chose to build a small cordwood home. I have been slowly working on this project gathering materials off our families property, had many discussions with the home inspector and architect and should have the final plans shortly. We will be breaking ground this spring with any luck, spring of 2017 worst case scenario. While I will not be able to complete every task that comes up, but I will be attempting to do as much of this as possible with friends and family.

I hope to keep a decent record here of the building process. I will follow up shortly with home details, pictures of the property, and future plans.

Welcome, AMH! We'll be looking forward to vicariously sharing your joys and (hopefully few) sorrows in your construction.

Where are you located?
