What a piece of work. Extremely few are built like that anywhere.

Remembering your recent trip to China , you may enjoy this video series about carpentry in southern China. Like the blogger I wish I spoke chinese - am sure the knowledge is great.

The two videos make a good contrast between two labor intensive, but wildly different types of wood working.

Thanks for posting this one too. It's amazing the amount of worked wood over there, and the time that must be involved. I've been itching to buy some furniture and ship it over.
