Default where are the eggs??

Just not sure what is going on. Have had chickens for years so I am not new to this. I wonder if we have a snake getting eggs. Yestarday I got 9 eggs, today I got one... there have been a lot of days like this for about 3 weeks and I am thinking a black snake might be eating them. Anyone ever had trouble with a snake and do you have any suggestion on how to catch it??

Have a lot of trouble with chicken snakes. Best remedy is some 9mm snake shot--if I actually catch one in the coop. Have tried some granulated snake repellent--jury still out on that. Have also used some glass eggs, which do disappear along with the eggs--for the most part guinea. They will clutch up 18-20 eggs and then the damn snake will find them and about 5-6 will disappear every few days until the clutch is gone. Once the clutch is violated like that, the hen will not bother setting the other eggs.

Last year, I shot 5-6 chicken snakes (aka texas rat snake) only one so far this year, but only because their visit to the coop is not coordinating with mine. I have had a total of 6 glass eggs disappear--found one out in the garden a couple of days ago, but no sign of the others.
