This link is to King Authur Flour company's sourdough primer.

Although I have worked sourdough time and again, I have never been able to get the rise just from the starter.

Well the King Authur Flour link doesn't work, but go to King Authur Flour and go to "learn" and click the link on Sourdough baking

Smile Thanks

Thanks zanedclark andCiderman...
I went to K.A. link. I'm going to try their method for sourdough starter. I had tried before but I started with A/P flour and after 4 days I didn't have that fermentation and yeast smell. It smelled more like drywall paste, so I discarded it. I'm going to the store today and purchase some WW bread and start over..... again thanks. I'll let you know....
