Default Not sure about where to post.... Any Gas fridges?

Coulda been Energy I guess.

We have a 10 year old Crystal Cold refrigerator. It's not running properly. It did this a few months ago and I checked the level in two directions. The fins in the back are fairly hot and I have the thermostat way up. I don't think it's helping. The Amish guy I bought it from doesn't return my calls. That's fairly unusual they are straight up people.

I dusted the fins in the back and there is good clearence all around it.

Any ideas..... anyone?

Butane Gas refrigerators were common here when I was a kid, because many in the rural areas had butane tanks, now propane, and a service provider for the butane before they had electricity.

When those refrigerators were replaced most everyone had electrical service by then and the electrical versions were cheaper to purchase, so the electric refrigerators took over.

About the only people I know today with Propane Refrigerators are those totally off grid, or those in remote mountainous areas where securing electrical service would be difficult or super expensive.

Now finding someone with experience at working on or servicing the propane (or natural gas) appliances may be a difficult task.

Default Gas fridge repair

A place that sells and services RV's might have a gas fridge mechanic. The originals were Arkla Servels. You might run a search...
The few that I've worked on just needed the coil and burner chamber cleaned.
