Default Lamp Oil In The Canner

I got my canner out today to can marmalade. I didn't notice any smell when I rinsed it out or filled it, but when it was boiling I noticed the smell of lamp oil. I'm assuming some got spilled in the canner when my sister transported all of it down to my house. The jars all sealed, but have I ruined the marmalade with this fiasco?

The medical management for ingestion of petroleum products is to do nothing. They aren't absorbed and just pass right thru.

From the culinary standpoint, I guess you'll just have to taste it and you tell us. If the amount involved was too small to be noticed, I bet you're good to go --let's hope.
