The Barnyard

Read-and-Play Sticker Book

by Christina Wald

The Barnyard Read-and-Play Sticker Book

Young children love stickers and they love barnyard animals. The Barnyard Read-and-Play Sticker Book gives kids a world of full-color, reusable animal stickers to play with on charming, everyday scenes from a family farm. Kids can create their own animal dramas on backgrounds that include a fold-out panorama of the entire farm, a barn interior, a barnyard exterior, a large fenced-in pen, and a chicken coop. With 80 heavy-duty vinyl stickers, the possibilities for play are limitless.

To help children create interesting play scenes, all the elements of a typical day on the farm are explained. Kids are encouraged to produce their own sticker-scenes of the activities and chores described in the book. They can put the horses and donkey out to graze or go inside the barn to milk the cows and goats. After raking out the pens and putting in clean straw and fresh water, the animals are ready for bed.

In addition to recreating daily chores, children can play fun games with the stickers. There are enough egg stickers to hide around the barnyard for a friend to gather in the basket. Have the family members (and maybe a few animals too!) go for a swim in the pond on a hot day. Or enjoy a ride on the tractor. The dog can even hop on the back!
