In fact, when I came home from town, where I was mailing seed orders and getting feed, I came down the driveway and saw him heading to David’s house on the four-wheeler! I was shocked, of course. He said it didn’t hurt to ride the ATV, but he about froze on the way back home. After all, it was 1 degree F last night and even though it’s warming up, it still isn’t warm by any means! He’s thawed out now and is still up and around. (I should have known when he put clothes on today for the first time.)<\/p>\n

Ah ha! Caught in the act, four days after gall bladder surgery. Bad boy!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I’m busy getting ready for Christmas, mostly cleaning house. (Not that it needs it!) Bill and his family and David and his family are coming for Christmas Eve dinner and visiting. Then Will’s grandson, Drew, is coming on Christmas for a couple of days (hopefully). The last time Will saw him, Drew was in diapers, so that’ll be a wonderful visit! First, I’m doing the kitchen as that’s where all the Christmas cookies and dinner are put together. Hey, I found stuff on my counter that I had forgotten I had.<\/p>\n

We have the Christmas tree inside and thawed out. I hope to get decorations on it this afternoon. Better late than never!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I’d planned on canning up more of those family packs of chicken breasts but with Will’s hurry-up surgery, that got put on the “after Christmas” schedule. If it’s one thing we’ve learned is that you need to be flexible about plans as they’re always getting switched around, often with little or no warning.
