Luckily, in our nearest town of Cook (population 600), there still are these personable places left. We buy our feed at Homestead Mills, as well as salt blocks, milk replacer, bird feed, seed potatoes, garden seed, bulk flours, yeast, beans, and more. They even mix up their own brand of gourmet pancake, muffin, and cereal recipes. (You can even buy them in one-pound cloth bags for gifts!)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/JackieClay\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Homestead-Mills.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3065\" alt=\"Homestead-Mills\" src=\"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/JackieClay\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Homestead-Mills.gif\" width=\"446\" height=\"380\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/JackieClay\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Carol.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3066\" alt=\"Carol\" src=\"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/JackieClay\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Carol.gif\" width=\"446\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They even have a website so folks can order online (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.homesteadmills.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.homesteadmills.com<\/a>). Whatever we need they have&#8230;or can get at a reasonable price. Rape seed, field turnips, birdsfoot trefoil, field peas?
