Should I just round up to the times used for a quart with these jars? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Next question: I recently picked up a used Victorio food mill on EBay. I tried using it to get the pulp out of chokecherries, but the funnel and plastic spiral got totally jammed and I kept having to remove and clean it out. Always choose the safest time when faced with a choice.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve never found a way to use my Victorio strainer for chokecherries. What I do with mine is simmer them soft in a large pot. Then cool them down and press through a wire sieve.
