Did I mention it rained all week? Needless to say, Bill couldn’t bring up his tractor-mounted rototiller on Mother’s Day as the ground was too wet. I suppose we could have done the garden as it’s on a gravel slope and is never too wet to till. But we wanted to do much more. So we postponed that idea. (Bill said maybe he could bring it up next weekend and, fortunately, it looks like our rain will end
\nsoon.)<\/p>\n

But Mother’s Day was wonderful anyway. It was sunny and 71 degrees. Imagine that! We met Bill, Kelly, and the grandkids at Byrns Greenhouse in Zim, where we proceeded to about buy out the place. (Well, it seemed like it!) Will and I found three Zone 3 pears (one Zone 2 even!) and two new Zone 3 apricots so we ended up with one pear and two apricots plus a bunch of flowers, perennials, etc. So much fun. Afterwards we went to the Dairy Queen for lunch and home to meet David. Such a nice day.<\/p>\n

Today it’s raining again. Will’s working on the dozer after finding out that he needs yet another part that was broken. So we have to take a two hour trip to Proctor later on to hopefully get a replacement part.<\/p>\n

We got the buck goats and yearling doelings that weren’t bred back down to the goat pasture yesterday when we had extra goat herders. Not much of a job as the goats followed David with a bucket of grain right down the hill. Now Will can clean out the outdoor pens and we can also clean the inside stalls.
