Just bring to a boil then ladle out into hot jars. Half-pints or pints would work best. Process for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath canner. Then you&#8217;ll have jars of pomegranate molasses on hand to add to your favorite recipes or use as you like. &#8212; Jackie<\/p>\n<p><strong>Humane euthanasia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Today we have a different and painful question: how do you humanely put to sleep a faithful dog, cat, chicken, etc? It is a question we wrestle with. We do not want a vet that doesn&#8217;t even know the animal do the job for us. As vegetarians we have never butchered or hunted. Also, where do you get antibiotics?<\/p>\n<p>D. K.<br \/>\nCalifornia<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I do take dogs and cats to our vet when there is no alternative but to put them to sleep. But I hold the pet in my arms while the vet administers the IV so there&#8217;s only love, not fear. For farm animals, it&#8217;s usually a .22 bullet to the head; quick and fear-less to the animal. Not pleasant for us, in any form, though. Believe me!<\/p>\n<p>I get our injectable antibiotics from our vet and some through our local farm and ranch store. Also some farm catalogs such as Hoegger Supply Company and Nasco Farm &#038; Ranch carry them.
