In 2022 in Indiana, a courageous young armed citizen named Eli Dicken stopped a mass murder in a shopping mall. Opening fire on the crazed rifleman from a distance of forty or more yards initially, he fired ten rounds from his Glock 19 pistol, hitting the would-be mass murderer eight times and killing him where he stood. His action saved countless lives.

Dicken now has that Gen5 Glock 19 up for auction at Gunbroker. The young man is in my opinion a genuine American hero. My take on it can be found here.

  1. I’m glad you covered multiple recent cases of armed citizens doing good in that video.

Honorable mention: I believe his name was Mark Wilson- he shot a man named Arroyo, who was trying to murder his ex-wife and son outside a Texas courthouse, using an AK. Wilson was killed because he couldn’t penetrate Arroyo’s body armor, but the engagement bought time for police to arrive on scene and eventually eliminate Arroyo before he could harm anyone else.

  2. No doubt, with this provenance, the handgun will sell for a tidy sum. In fact, all of the older generation Glock handguns may go up in value since Glock, under pressure from the Firearm-Prohibitionists, is discontinuing the old models in favor of a newer generation which, Glock hopes, will meet the approval of the anti-gunners.

The Glock company is fooling itself. By definition, no firearm made (in the History of the World) has ever met the approval of the Prohibitionists.

The attacks on Glock are just another symptom of America’s decay. The real clincher (for me) was something that recently occurred. I had made a road trip to visit relatives in North Carolina. While there, I happened to turn on the local news. As usual, the news was Douple-Plus UnGood (in terms of Newspeak).

One story was about how a man had, over the course of several weeks, murdered four (4) of his children. He was carrying the bodies around in the trunk of his car.

What really shocked me, however, was a news report which gushed about the new, $1 billion Casino that was being opened in King’s Mountain. King’s Mountain!?!! (For Heaven’s Sake!).

This was truly an “Emperor has no Clothes” moment for me. When I saw the news about the new Casino at King’s Mountain, I was (finally) convinced that the United States of America was finished as a Nation. I found this news far, far, far, more shocking then the news of the murdered children.

The above link is to the casino web site. Go and open the Press Release, dated October 29th, if you want all the ghastly details.

  3. In my home state of Kommiecticut, duplicating Eli Dicken’s actions WILL get you arrested and prosecuted for murder. True, the mass shooting was stopped and the bad guy is dead, but YOU SHOULD HAVE RUN AWAY and not engaged him.

That is how screwed up this place is, and why I refer to it as living behind enemy lines. I will engage such a shooter and let my attorney from CCWSafe get me off.

    • Here in WA we can’t even have CCWSafe because the thieves and vermin of our state gov WANT to ensure that you’re bankrupted by pretrial costs and plead out, no matter how Justified it may be.

    • Yes indeed, Corrupticut prosecuted the 75 yo lawyer who was attacked by a drunk, 38 yo enraged attacker in Litchfield, CT. The lawyer had no way to escape and has stenosis of the spine, running was not an option. Sadly, he was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 7 years at the age of 78. Corrupticut needs to remove “The Constitution State” from is license plates! Robert Fisher was convicted because he used a firearm to protect himself, this is lawfare and nothing else.

  4. A few years before this there was a shooter shit ib a mall. Who was that? I recall the incident as the incentive for me to change the type of gun I carry to one that I would trust for a similar circumstance. In that event I think a disgruntled boyfriend went to a store in a mall where his female victim worked. I believe he shot her and someone she worked with perhaps the manager of the store that may have triggered the shooter’s jealousy. I seem to recall that he ended up taking a hostage and was stalled from leaving the mall perhaps by some security presence. Meanwhile someone who is referred to as an experienced shooter perhaps a competitor or instructor type took a shot that was referred to as longer than normal. If made me think of the kind of shots we take in IDPA events where you have no-shoot/hostage target in front of your intended target.

  5. I read the listing and in it he states that it is time to put this chapter of his life behind him. Hopefully he will get more than the minimum bid and can put the funds toward a good use for himself and his family. He could have safely run away from that incident but made a choice to risk his own life and likely saved many innocent lives in the process. May God bless him.

  6. Coming this January 17th, once Spanberger is sworn in, the Commonwealth of Virginia will be behind enemy lines. Any and all gun control wanted by the leftists will be passed and signed into law. I fear for the future, I was blessed to escape The Peoples Republic of New Jersey in 1989. The rot has followed me here.
