While we all watch the Presidential campaign getting uglier and more desperate as it approaches its end, I find myself wondering why the pro-gun-owner candidate puts so much effort into nebulous maybe <\/em>provable allegations against his anti-gun-owner opponent, when he could<\/em> be nailing him to the wall with demonstrable<\/em>, provable<\/em> lies by Barack Obama.<\/p>\n

<\/span>My old friend Alan Korwin, a long-time fighter for the civil rights of firearms owners, had this to say after the last debate between McCain and Obama. <\/a><\/p>\n

\n

<\/span>I ain\u2019t no political savant, but I also try not to be a schmuck. <\/span>In the last couple of days, I\u2019ve been inundated with Democratic campaign mail quoting that phony Trojan Horse organization that pretends to be pro-gun, telling me that it\u2019s OK to vote for Obama. <\/span>Read the link above. <\/span>Decide for yourself.<\/p>\n

<\/span>As you read it, please understand that the Brady Campaign, the most virulent gun-banning organization extant, has<\/em> just<\/em> publicly<\/em> endorsed<\/em> Barack Obama. <\/span>Will Obama refute their support, despite the radical stances those people have taken over the years? <\/span>Not hardly. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

<\/span>It is frustrating for me to watch a debate in which McCain never brings up the gun owners\u2019 rights issue. <\/span>Instead, I see his supporters sending out Obama rumors over the Internet, rumors which they can\u2019t substantiate. <\/span>These would-be \u201cswiftboaters\u201d are launching torpedoes that are backfiring and sinking their own credibility. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Hey, I don\u2019t want to see Barack Obama elected. <\/span>I see all this crap about him being a Muslim, and his name spelled \u201cBarack HUSSEIN Obama,\u201d and I cringe, just as I do when I see the \u201cOsama\/Obama\u201d play on words. I think it would be particularly hypocritical for a guy named \u201cMassad Ayoob\u201d to play that card, and I don\u2019t happen to be Muslim, but I just don\u2019t think that\u2019s the issue. The issue is, dammit, Barack Obama has provably, demonstrably lied to the public about his position on firearms ownership, <\/em>and a man who will lie about one thing will lie about the other things.<\/p>\n

<\/span>It ain\u2019t about Osama Bin Laden.<\/p>\n

<\/span>It\u2019s about Obama Been Lyin\u2019.<\/p>\n
