It\u2019s true that she granted more approaches to the bench to the prosecution than to the defense, and those who kept count said she sustained far more objections from the prosecution than from the defense. Her insistent questioning of the defendant himself as to whether he chose not to testify is something I haven\u2019t seen before in more than 40 years in the criminal justice system.<br \/>\n<object width=\"450\" height=\"253\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/UgDuu6i8MtE?hl=en_US&amp;version=3&amp;rel=0\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><embed width=\"450\" height=\"253\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/UgDuu6i8MtE?hl=en_US&amp;version=3&amp;rel=0\" allowFullScreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I would have liked it if she had allowed prior bad acts by the late Trayvon Martin to come in to the jury.\u00a0 At the same time, as <a href=\"http:\/\/backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/MassadAyoob\/2013\/07\/24\/zimmerman-verdict-part-7-why-the-jury-didnt-learn-about-trayvon-martin\/\" target=\"_blank\">I\u2019ve explained earlier in this blog series<\/a>\u00a0, she was well within judicial prerogative to make the decision to keep that material out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The trial lasted a month, and it\u2019s been more than a month since the jury delivered a verdict.
