{"id":3214,"date":"2015-06-28T21:49:28","date_gmt":"2015-06-29T01:49:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/MassadAyoob\/?p=3214"},"modified":"2015-06-28T21:49:28","modified_gmt":"2015-06-29T01:49:28","slug":"scotus-gay-marriage-decision-and-concealed-carry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/MassadAyoob\/scotus-gay-marriage-decision-and-concealed-carry\/","title":{"rendered":"SCOTUS\u2019 GAY MARRIAGE DECISION AND CONCEALED CARRY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past week, the Supreme Court of the United States announced its decision that gay marriage was legal, and such a marriage performed in any one state has legal standing in all the other 49.\u00a0 I have no problem with gay marriage \u2013 why should we heterosexuals be the only ones to suffer?<\/p>\n<p>Now, though, we have some in the 2A community who feel this opens the door to \u2013 or may even create \u2013 the long-sought national reciprocity for concealed carry. <a href=\"http:\/\/bearingarms.com\/scotus-ruling-sex-marriage-mandates-nationwide-concealed-carry-reciprocity\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bearingarms.com\/scotus-ruling-sex-marriage-mandates-nationwide-concealed-carry-reciprocity\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This actually makes sense.\u00a0 It has always been anomalous that states would recognize one another\u2019s pilot\u2019s license, heterosexual marriage license, driver\u2019s license, etc., but not one another\u2019s permit to carry concealed and loaded handguns.\u00a0 If heterosexual marriage didn\u2019t set a precedent creating national reciprocity on carry, I\u2019m not clear on how gay marriage somehow will.<\/p>\n<p>Opinions?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past week, the Supreme Court of the United States announced its decision that gay marriage was legal, and such a marriage performed in any one state has legal standing in all the other 49.\u00a0 I have no problem with gay marriage \u2013 why should we heterosexuals be the only ones to suffer?
