One year\nAndy Stanford and I found ourselves on the same plane heading to the\nRangemaster Tactical Conference; I think it may have been in Tulsa that\nyear.  Andy, a noted author in the field\nand a champion shooter, pointed out that the Conference was to armed citizens\nas the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers and today\u2019s International\nLaw Enforcement Educators and Trainers association were and are to cops.  That is, a multi-discipline pool of knowledge\nencompassing qualified professionals teaching criminal psychology, relevant\nelements of law, and physical skills ranging from hand-to-hand fighting, to\ndefensive shooting, to emergency field treatment of gunshot injuries and other\ntrauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Evil Princess and I make \u201cTacCon\u201d an annual stop.\u00a0 This year, it was held in a suburb of New Orleans immediately prior to the ILEETA <\/a>conference in St. Louis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
