That\natrocity just gave the Prohibitionists more blood in which to dance.&nbsp; The RCMP has not yet made public exactly what\nfirearms were involved in the string of murders, committed by a perpetrator who\nwas already prohibited from owning firearms. Gun-banners have long since lost\nsight of the basic truth that only the law-abiding obey the laws they pass.&nbsp; Prime Minister Trudeau had made it clear he\nwanted to push through a massive gun ban before proceedings were derailed by\nthe pandemic shutdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aaand\u2026here we are. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/05\/01\/canada-bans-assault-style-guns-229243\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/05\/01\/canada-bans-assault-style-guns-229243<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new law\nwill ban possession of some 1500 named makes and models. Compensation \u201cto be\ndetermined\u201d and funded later. &nbsp;They\u2019ve\ndeclared a two-year \u201camnesty,\u201d during which they\u2019re happy for you to export to\nother nations what they call \u201cweapons of war\u201d suitable only for \u201ckilling large\nnumbers of human beings quickly.\u201d&nbsp; Yeah, <em>sure <\/em>they\u2019re doing this for the safety\nof their fellow man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are\nspewing the usual BS about a \u201cbuy-back,\u201d a lie on its face because by\ndefinition no entity can \u201cbuy back\u201d that which it did not sell, from people who\ndo not want to give up their property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More proof\nthat registration leads to confiscation.&nbsp;\nInterestingly, reports are that when Canadians were told to register their\nrifles, compliance was low.&nbsp; It\u2019s going\nto be interesting to see what happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As always,\nyour commentary is invited.
