Kickoff point for the discussion was my article in the current issue of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/americanhandgunner.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"American Handgunner  (opens in a new tab)\">American Handgunner <\/a><\/em>magazine on the church shooting in White Settlement, Texas last December. It includes a lot of insights that haven\u2019t been touched by the mass media. I got the info from the hero of that event, Jack Wilson, who stopped the massacre in seconds with a single well-placed bullet.\u00a0 There were two casualties in the less than six seconds from when the mad dog killer\u2019s shotgun became visible to when Wilson\u2019s bullet short-circuited the SOB\u2019s brain.\u00a0 We contrasted that to the more than two dozen murdered and the twenty shot, some permanently crippled, in the Sutherland Springs church shooting 25 months before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ndifference, of course, was that no one in the Sutherland Springs church was\narmed except the mass murderer.&nbsp; That\nincident, you\u2019ll recall, was stopped at last by armed citizen Stephen\nWilleford, who had to run to the scene from his home, barefoot, with his AR15\nto stop the killing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The night before Memorial Day, I did an interview with the Gun Sports Radio team out of San Diego.\u00a0 It starts about eight and a half minutes in, here: https:\/\/www.gunsportsradio.com\/podcast\/episode\/30f16fe9\/thank-you-lance-massad-ayoob-on-the-white-settlement-shooting-new-gun-owner-training-the-gun-range-san-diego .
