We humans are social creatures. By and large, recreation is more fun when we do it with others. True of golf, or going to the county fair\u2026or going shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Evil Princess and I recently shot what the schedule indicates will probably be the last time this year when our schedules coincide with a Glock match (www.gssfonline.com<\/a>).  We went with half a dozen friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Downtime waiting to shoot was quality conversation time. Helping each other to refill our magazines in between shooting stages took some time pressure off.  We were able to borrow each other\u2019s guns.  I lent a Glock 30 SF .45 to a friend to shoot the Major Sub division, and when the fiber optic front sight departed from Gail\u2019s pet Glock 17, our old friend Steve Sager lent her his G17.  We even fielded a couple of teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to Robby Harris, who according to preliminary scores won the Amateur Civilian class. Both our teams did well.  We got to watch young superstar Quinton Ho shooting the falling plates event on the way to his overall victory in Master Stock. His average time was less than three seconds to react to a start signal, come up from low ready, and shoot down six eight-inch steel plates from eleven yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
