{"id":7348,"date":"2022-06-27T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-27T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/MassadAyoob\/?p=7348"},"modified":"2022-06-19T20:02:13","modified_gmt":"2022-06-20T00:02:13","slug":"flying-with-firearms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/MassadAyoob\/flying-with-firearms\/","title":{"rendered":"FLYING WITH FIREARMS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I am writing this in Tennessee, having flown in from the South while my lovely bride drove down from the North to meet me.&nbsp; The first thing I did when she picked me up at the airport was to crack the suitcase and the gun case therein, and load up a .45.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hear people complain about TSA in regard to flying commercial aircraft with firearms, but honestly, I\u2019ve found TSA a vast improvement over the mishmash of security we had at airports prior to 9\/11.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.activeresponsetraining.net\/flying-with-guns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">excellent article on the topic by Greg Ellifritz<\/a>. After flying with guns for half a century or so I can tell you that his advice is absolutely spot on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently retired from a distinguished career in law enforcement Greg is now teaching full time, including \u2013 indeed, focusing on \u2013 law-abiding private citizens.
