Weren\u2019t it Joe Biden that said, \u2018Banning guns is an idea whose time has come?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \n <\/span>\u201cYep, back around \u201993,\u201d says Jon-Boy. <\/span>\u201cProb\u2019ly plagiarized it off somebody, like he did the Neil Kinnock speech.\u201d<\/p>\n \n <\/span>I tried to look on the bright side. \u201cMcCain just named that there Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska, for his <\/em>Veep,\u201d I says.<\/p>\n \n <\/span>That brought a smile to Jon-Boy\u2019s face. <\/span>\u201cYup. NRA Life Member, too. She\u2019s younger\u2019n Obama, an\u2019 it looks like she\u2019s done a whole lot more for folks in her time than he has. <\/span>Didn\u2019t ride no husband\u2019s coat-tails to get herself elected, neither. Them folks in Alaska is practical, self-sufficient, an\u2019 independent-like.
